SAP Business One 8.8 PL12

Following various communications over the last six months SAP is committed to working on delivering new innovations in SAP Business One. The latest SAP Business One 8.8 PL12 sees the first of these innovations being delivered, and we will continue to deliver further innovations in the 8.8 Release Family.   SAP Business One 8.8 PL12 delivers three key areas of innovations:

• SAP Business One Cockpit


• SAP Business One Dashboards


• SAP Business One Mobile Services

SAP Business One Cockpit : There are new cockpit capabilities in PL12, allowing users to customize their interface to SAP Business One. The key driver behind the cockpit is to provide users with easier and quicker access to the information that they need to do their daily tasks. Including search capabilities across the menu and multiple areas of information in the application.

SAP Business One Mobile Services : This patch does not provide any out of the box mobile scenarios that you can use immediately on your iPhone. What this patch does provide though is mobile services on top of our integration framework that will allow partners to more easily develop mobile solutions on top of SAP Business One. Similarly, like the dashboards we will see more functionality in this area as we move on in the SAP Business One 8.8 Family Release!

SAP Business One Dashboards : With this patch Inecom can show a preview of integrated dashboards in the cockpit, it gives SAP/Inecom customers the opportunity to see what will be possible with dashboards in SAP Business One. However we do not envisage that the dashboards provided in this patch would be used in a productive environment. They have been provided them for customers so that we can show you what can be developed and so that we can collect feedback at an early stage to aid in our continuous development in this area. Please note that the hardware requirements, complexity of dashboards and volume of data retrieval can significantly influence performance and experience.
